Proudly presenting whiteboxstudios.se's first exciting venture out into the world of moving pictures!
A good friend of mine jumped on board a musical partnership, recording a backing track and bridge for a recording artist six thousand miles away. To make the picture complete (sorry for the pun), they wanted a music video presenting the song. My friend came to me, and we shot his part - the solo sequence, some b-roll, and complementary material for splicing in the intro and outro - over a freezing Saturday in an all too well ventilated garage.
Shot entirely on a Canon 5D mkII, edited in Sony Vegas. Original files converted using QuickTime 7.
Check out the full HD link in all it's glory, here! Also, why not listen to the full song by Svetla Ilieva?
«Smiles» : one photo a day for 30 days
from «Smiles» (2010)
For this year's 30 day project, I decided to go with a theme that I could interpret eclectically. Smiles are so much more than just faces of people being joyous, I wanted to show smiles you can find all around you, without resorting to photographing incidental patterns that the mind is left to interpret. «Smiles» is about what gives us a sense of emotion; every other day it may be a person but it's also the little things in life, hobbies, a favourite item cherised sentimentally - sometimes it's a joke or an outrageous idea that forces us to twist our heads at how others view the world. This is my collection of happiness, analysed, choreographed, and photographed.
Please enjoy :)
